Songs for the Earth
Sound & Spirit is a multi-generational choir based in Natick, open to kids (grade 3 and up), teens and adults of all ages who love to sing; in fact, many Sound & Spirit members are actually family members—mothers and daughters, grandfathers and grandsons, sisters and brothers. The choir came together for the first time in January 2012 after a group of Natick residents created a program with a mission that was open to all (non-audition based), collaborative, educational and fun. Two years later, Sound & Spirit is over 90 members strong and will perform its fifth concert at 4:30 pm in the Natick High School Auditorium on June 1st.
“Sound & Spirit performs music with a message that is equally inspiring for the audience as it is for its choir members,” said Sound & Spirit Board President Lisa Giallonardo. “Our artistic team of Kate Leavey, Cathi Ianno, Chris Letizia and Claire Mackey do a wonderful job with song selection, visual elements to accompany the music and thoughtful choreography”.
“Songs for the Earth” is presented in celebration of the environmental outreach of a wonderful organization in Natick led by Pat Conaway, Big Heart Little Feet.
Songs include:
Let the River, RunAin't No Mountain High Enough, Blue Skies, Let it Go, Black water, Heal the World When I'm Gone (the Cups song)
