Rozelle & Balmain Family Fun Day
The Rozelle & Balmain Family Fun Day has raised more than $175,000 after three very successful events since 2011 and seen over 8,000 people from the local area join us for a wonderful day of fun and activities.
The fourth Rozelle & Balmain Family Fun Day will take place on Sunday 19th October 2014 in King George Park, Rozelle. We are looking for sponsorship partners to help find a cure for childhood cancer by participating in the day, as well as tapping into a fantastic local community.
The Rozelle & Balmain Family Fun Day was inspired Ciara Flanagan, the daughter of a Balmain family, who was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma cancer at 12 weeks old. Ciara is now 4 years old remains in remission. Whilst Ciara has survived her ordeal, many other little children have not been so fortunate.
All funds raised from the Rozelle & Balmain Family Fun Day go directly to the Neuroblastoma research conducted by Children’s Cancer Institute Australia (CCIA). CCIA has one of the world’s leading programs into prevention and treatment of Neuroblastoma cancer.
Neuroblastoma almost exclusively strikes infants and children and whilst it is the third mostcommon type of childhood cancer after Leukaemia and brain tumours, it is the leading single cause of cancer deaths of children under five with an average survival rate of only 50%.
The Rozelle & Balmain Family Fun Day promises to be a great way to spend aSunday with the kids. This year we are especially excited to welcome back Sam Moran (former Yellow Wiggle) performing his ‘Play along with Sam’ program. Sam will be on stage at 12pm, as well as other special guests including Mr Sparkles the Clown.In addition to the live entertainment, we have a great range of activities and rides for all the family to enjoy the community spirit of Rozelle & Balmain. These include:
