Much Ado About Nothing

The Haymarket Theatre, Flatwater Shakespeare, and Humanities Nebraska present William Shakespeare'sMuch Ado About Nothing, set in 1999 at Messina High School's Homecoming Dance. A battle of the sexes fuels this comedic romp, with the characters Benedict and Beatrice at the front throwing witty insults and fiery speeches at one another. On the other end of the spectrum, Hero and Claudio can't help but be furiously in love with each other, but the villainous Don John cannot allow any such happiness to continue between the two. Throw in truly absurd characters such as Dogberry and Verges, and you have the wonderful mix of tragedy, melodrama, comedy, and farce that is Much Ado About Nothing.

Performances are July 25-27 at 7pm with a 2pm matinee on the 27.
