Dr. Lea Al Matny, Specialty Clinical Director at Carestream Dental, is a licensed Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist. She attended the University of Texas Health in San Antonio (UTHSA) where she received both a certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and a Master’s in Dental Science. She is a reviewer for Oral Surgery, Oral Pathology, Oral Medicine and Oral Radiology (OOOO) and an active member of the American Association of Oral Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR).
Session overview:
CBCT has become an important diagnostic tool in daily dental practices. Three-dimensional view of dento-alveolar structures can increase diagnostic accuracy and alter treatment planning. This course provides knowledge of the basic principles of CBCT technology, including selecting and optimizing imaging protocols, recognizing common anatomical variants on CBCT with their pathological changes, and an introduction to systematic interpretation and reporting of CBCT examinations.
