Workshop Information:
Join Michelle Kristula-Green for a weekend of mosaic-making magic! During this two day workshop, mosaic artist Michelle Kristula-Greenwill guide artists of all skill levels through two mosaic processes to create artworks using glass, stone, tile, and other objects.
Participants do not need a background in mosaic making and while all materials will be provided, participants are encouraged to bring their own found objects to incorporate into their artworks. Suggested items include broken pottery, plates, keys, beads, buttons, jewelry pieces, small metal bits, bobs and gears, sea shells, stones, pebbles, sea glass, crystals, etc. Any object that isn’t prone to decomposition that can be broken up with a hammer should work!
The registration fee includes all required materials and tools as well as lunch both days.
About Michelle
Michelle is a contemporary mosaic artist, using local stone, glass, Italian smalti and ceramic to create artworks that tell a story. Her work is inspired by the natural world and in particular, the places she has lived: Montana and Japan.
She is based in Big Sky, MT. She is a member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA) and an active participant in Visiting Artist Workshops at the Chicago Mosaic School.
