Power of the Purse 2020
Please join us for a special virtual event on December 1st (Giving Tuesday), to support programs and collaborations that help families with young children get a strong start to life.
Traditionally, this annual fundraiser is anchored by silent and live auctions with the opportunity to bid on some very special purses, bags, and accessories. This year, however, we ask that you help us fill the purses of our communities in need. the money raised at this year's Power of the Purse helps us do this important work of Women United, which:
Promote the importance of reading aloud to young children, providing books to families at pediatrician's visits
Support more than 50 new and expectant families each year through our community baby shower
Create scholarships and much needed emergency financial assistance for local female college students
We will share more about the work of Women United, as we honor three outstanding women who serve women and families in our community: Kellie Crosby Hicks of Health Imperatives, Lauren Melillo of Sandwich Partnership for Families, and Robin Hayward of A Baby Center.
