Jazzin' with the Stars Concert
Join Heartbeat Dixieland Jazz Band for an afternoon of great traditional jazz blended with rock n roll oldies. We'll be jazzin' with the one and only Dave Somerville (original lead singer of The Diamonds -- The Stroll, Little Darlin', Why Do Fools Fall in Love). This is an event you won't want to miss! Here's a glimpse of Dave performing at last year's JWTS (copy and paste this link into a new browser window: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dg7-GL9_mzU). Since April is Autism Awareness Month, Heartbeat's youngest musician (who is on the autism spectrum), Jason, will also perform with the band for a song or two.
The afternoon will be hosted by Jimmy Jay, DJ to the Stars. Jimmy hosts an online radio show heard around the world focusing on the hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
After the show, we'll have a meet and greet with all performers. Hope to see everyone there!
Seating is open; doors will open one hour before showtime.
Proceeds from this event to benefit Autism Services and Resources Connecticut (www.autismconnecticut.org) as well as Dog Days Adoption (www.godogdays.org).
Note: Free parking available.
