The First Lady
Obsidian Media Group’s Lawrence Floyd re-imagines what it may have been like had a prominent First Lady left her husband. Vivian (Played by local legend Rozlyn Sorrell) leaves her husband Bishop Kurtis Mitchell to start a new life. She comes across a little church in Greensboro headed by Pastor Cato (comedian Lowray Bartney) and his judgmental wife Marlena (C. Kelly Wright) and her best friend First Lady Cutter (Me-Me Cowans) along with a very diverse congregation which includes a very effeminate man (3 Mo’ Tenors Ken Alston, Jr.), a very masculine girl (Pamela Reed-Winstead) a member with her eyes on the Pastor (Melissa Wade) and other interesting types (Gabrielle Smith and Angie Guilford) will she see what she left or is there another lesson? But when the love of Marlena’s life re-enters the picture, (Terrell Phillips from Backstreet and Tyler Perry’s “Meet the Browns”) she goes from condemning to condemned. Will the church survive?
