Today, more than two billion people lack access to the most basic things, such as clean water, adequate sanitation, reliable passage to local markets and more. Engineers Without Borders (EWB) has partnered with communities around the world to change this unfortunate reality. EWB is a non-profit humanitarian organization established to support community-driven development programs worldwide through partnerships that design and implement successful engineering projects.

The EWB Sacramento Valley Professional Chapter's current projects include providing access to clean water by designing several spring water filtration systems with strategically placed locations throughout the Kanyamamba and Shisasari communities in Kenya, Africa. Funds raised from the evening's event will help support these and other projects in the near future.
