Annual SPBS Awards Banquet
The Sandy Point Benevolent Society, Inc. (SPBS) proudly invites you to our Second Annual Awards Banquet. This is our premier annual fund-raising event.
SPBS is a non-profit corporation with the sole purpose and singular simple mission "to enhance the education for our youth and teachers in Sandy Point, St. Kitts-Nevis, West Indies." Our Motto is "Empowerment Through Education."
We will honor deserving citizens who, by virtue of their work and contributions, have helped to advance the cause of education of our youth in the federation of St. Kitts-Nevis and in particular the Sandy Point School district area.
The event will feature:
- Held under the distinguished patronage of Thr Right Honorable Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, Prime Minister, St. Kitts & Nevis.
- Caribbean Dinner Buffet: featuring Caribbean food & drinks , tossed salad, and more.
- Open Bar: A well stocked bar with premium liquor and other beverages.
- Featured Distiguished Guest Speaker: Dr. Simon B. Jones-Hendrickson is a prolific writer and much sought after speaker. A true renaissance Economist, Dr. Jones-Hendrickson is a very popular lecturer on West Indian literature, Caribean Politics, Socio-Economic Affairs.
Come and help us honor three distinguished citizens who represent the best of Sandy Point, meet old friends, enjoy great food, dance to the music of Breakaway Brass Band. The distinguished Honorees are:
- Dr. Simon B. Jones-Hendrickson, Professor, Economist, Writer, and role model.
- Dr. Joseph Halliday, Past Principal, Outstanding leader and role model.
- Dr. Hannah Guishard, distinguished Alumni, Vetenerian and role model.
