American Dream Seekers
Entrepreneurs from all over the world went through a series of qualifying rounds, many were eliminated but the top 50 advanced to the semi-finals. On Saturday, October 25th, 2014 those who advanced will convene at Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers, FL to present their business idea or product to a panel of judges consisting of: angel investors, venture capitalists and business professionals.
During the daytime session five presentation rooms will each host ten semi-finalists, three judges per room and many enthusiastic spectators. Throughout both the day and evening sessions speeches will be given on a variety of business and entrepreneurial topics. The prominent keynote speakers include: Jairek Robbins, Chuck Papageorgiou, Mary Key and Cory Crowder. Joseph Warren, known as Florida’s #1 start-up coach, will emcee the event.
After the day session concludes, judges will deliberate and ultimately select the five finalists. The judges will use a complex grading system based on problem identification, resolution, marketing, infrastructure and pitch delivery.
The evening session begins at 6:00pm in the main event space. Finalists will "pitch" their ideas on stage in front of a live audience, to five primetime judges, with the opportunity to receive equity funding for their business. In addition, there is a special $5,000 to be awarded to the best presentation.
The public is invited to attend both daytime and evening sessions, check out vendors booths, watch all of the entertaining presentations and keynote speakers.
