Written by, directed and starring acclaimed actor Tony Lo Bianco, The Little Flower is an educational, inspirational, and comedic look into the life of three-time New York City Mayor Fiorello La Guardia—a vibrant personality who, in 1936, made Bartow-Pell his “summer city hall.”
Lo Bianco won an Obie Award for Best Actor in Yanks-3, Detroit-0, Top of the 7th and the Outer Critics Circle Award for his performance as Eddie Carbone in Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge on Broadway. One of Lo Bianco’s best-known film performances is as Sal Boca in the five-time Academy Award-winning film The French Connection with Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider.
