Carrotmob is back again, and this will be the greatest one yet! Carrotmob is a nonprofit organization based in San Francisco, California. It uses buycotts (a form of consumer activism where a community buys a lot of goods from one company in a small time period) to reward a business's commitment to making socially responsible changes to the business.
This year, Carrotmob is going to La Palma Mexican Cuisine on October 18 2014, who promised to invest 25% of the proceeds from that day to install low-flow, water conserving faucets and pre-rinse valves if we get 150 people to show up. If we get 300 people to show up, La Palma pledges to invest 25% of the proceeds to buy a more efficient, environmentally friendlywalk-in fridge.
