NEKO CASE
Three-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Neko Case will perform at the Emerson Center in Bozeman on Wednesday, April 22, Vootie Productions announced Tuesday.
The spring tour, which also includes a stop at the Wilma Theatre in Missoula on April 21, coincides with the Record Store Day re-release of Case’s album “Fox Confessor Brings The Flood” on limited edition red vinyl. The album will be available in independent record stores on April 18.
Case’s most recent album, "The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You," was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards.
“Case’s voice is open and robust, with the richness of prime Linda Ronstadt and Patsy Cline,” Jon Pareles wrote in an album review in the New York Times.
Case’s 2009 solo album, “Middle Cyclone,” was nominated for two Grammys and debuted on the Billboard charts at No. 3, the highest position for a release by an independent record company at the time.
In addition to her work as a solo artist, Case is also a member of Canadian indie rock supergroup The New Pornographers. The group’s latest album, “Brill Bruisers” debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard charts in August 2014.
The all-ages show begins at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 and go on sale Friday, Jan. 30, at Cactus Records and Gifts in Bozeman and online at vootie.com.
