Brendan Pinto – @brendan_pinto
Brendan Pinto a nominee of the prestigious Cream of Comedy. When Brendan was scaling the Appalachian Mountains, he ran afoul the dreaded comedy shark. The shark was both large, and large for its age. The battle raged on for three nonconsecutive days. In the end, Pinto stood in triumph over his foe, roasting and eating most of it and using the rest to build shelter and affordable toys for underprivileged kids. Also, Pinto took the shark’s girlfriend. Little did he know that the flesh of the comedy shark held magical powers that inspire one to pursue a life in comedy. Pinto would like to thank all the people who encouraged him in this and hopes everyone that doesn’t believe in him gets throat-punched to death by a comedy shark.

Regardless of the medium, Jeff is an undeniable talent that should not be missed.
Justin Laite – @justinlaite
After a year of watching from afar and copious time spent daydreaming, Justin Laite made his Comedy Cabaret debut in early 2013. He was the opener that night, traditionally the most unenviable spot on the card. “My knees were shaking and I was nauseous,” he remembers of the experience, “I had heard many legends of what standing in that light feels like, but nothing could have truly prepared me for the actual experience.” His appearances since that night have ranged from “career defining” to “catastrophic humiliation”, to directly quote several audience members. He looks to continue his legacy on the 2nd Anniversary show on April 27th. “Definitely special,” Justin says about the impending night of laughter, “It’s the stage I really feel like I found my voice on, or rather, my voice found me, or I guess it’s just something intangible that I can’t describe, it truly is a can’t miss event”.
Headliner:
Nick Beaton – @Nick_Beaton
From a blue collar background, Nick Beaton cuts through the bullshit of an overly bureaucratic society that takes itself way too seriously. He has performed on 3 continents, 6 countries, and over 40 cities. His recent Edinburgh Festival show received glowing five star reviews, from both “Broadway Baby” and “Three Weeks,” the latter of which described him as having, “enviable confidence, timing, and manner of a comedian with decades of experience beyond his years.” He has performed at Montreal’s International Just for laughs comedy festival, and has received numerous accolades for his comedy, including being a myspace featured comedian and winning the 2007 Just for Laughs Toronto Homegrown Competition, as well as being nominated for two Canadian Comedy awards including one for his comedy special that aired nationally in Canada
