NO Excuse Boxing Tournment

Walker Mill Community Development Corporation, for 25+ years worked to develop   develop a stable athletic boxing team of 15-20 young fighters from the surrounding communities. All have potential but discipline and commitment as the determinient in making each student athletic a household name in the community. WMCDC believes that by getting youths off the streets in a positive way, teaching transferable skill, discipline and character to successful transition into adulthood.

Success extend well beyond the the boxing rings. No excuse is the theme for the club, no excuse to use drugs or reliquish their roles and committment to a better community. Service to community has been the clubs motto and build community with a hands on approach, reach others teens in a positive ways, to resist drugs, reduce HIV transmission, gang violence and teen  pregency. In order to meet our mission and provide services in our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. Without the assistance of community-minded individuals just like you, we wouldn't be able to serve those in our community each year. We ask that you make a commitment to support our annual appeal by making a cash donation. This year our goal is $ 125,000.00 and we hope that you will be able to make a contribution.

It is our mission to provide faith-base care for the homeless and the hungry children and families of Prince George’s County, Maryland. WMCDC has several programs which provide hope and supportive housing, child care, food pantry, health and wellness, youth athletic development (boxing). The importance of WMCDC and other athletic organizations is to keep the youth interested in something substantial, something to work for and a hobby to pursue in service to build unity in community, loving, living and learning.
