Take Me Out to The Ball Game

The Community Job Club, Inc.is a non-profit 501 (c)3 job-search training organization for experienced professionals of all ages who are actively seeking better career opportunities. We work with job seekers from new grads to seasoned professionals or anyone interested in shaping up their job search for faster results. 

 This campaign is in honor of Ed W, who took his life January 27, 2015

Ed was an active member of our job club for over a year.  He is missed by many and unfortunately is an example of how devastating loosing a job can be.  He worked with 4H of Portage County for 14 years and was a very active member of his community.

Help our members cope with the loss of their livliehood.  

Job seekers navigating unemployment and an extended job search can find themselves spiraling into depression, which will ultimately manifest itself in job-search performance and sometimes leads to suicide.   Some of our members, have lost thier jobs after having the position for more than 20 year and have a hard time dealing with the loss.  

The proceeds from this campaign will support:

• Individual sessions with job club members to assess for depression

• Help with resources and referrals to assist with other issues outside of job search

Since 2010 the Community Job Club has served over 2800 individuals from communities throughout Northeast Ohio who have either attended one of our job fairs or our monthly job club meetings. Many have been successful in finding employment and others continue to pursue their career search journey.
