The English Tea Garden wants to accomplish three things:
First, we want to remind young adults that a Christ-centered life is a joy filled life. Following Biblical principals does not mean that you have to exclude yourself from fun or stop you from enjoying life.
Second, we want to celebrate those young adults who exemplify this idea through healthy competition. The idea was to highlight individuals who liv for God transparently and unashamedly. The hope was that others would see what was happening and want to be apart.
Most importantly this benefit was designed to raise money for a cause, but more specifically a family who are dearly loved by the youth department at St. Mary's COGIC. In the very early planning of the Tea Garden a group of the young people wanted to do something for the family of our Pastor whose grandson was suffering from cancer. We wanted to let him and his family know that we loved them by raising money to help them during such a difficult time. Unfortunately, a difficult time turned into heartbreak when Timothy passed. We still wanted to help in anyway that we could, so the decision was made to hold the Tea Garden in memoriam of Timothy Butler.
With less than a week until all the funds need to be submitted, we are helplessly short in reaching our goals. I am entreating you, my Facebook family, to help in anyway that you can. Below is the link to purchase a ticket or to donate any amount you can. Feel free to inbox the event host for any questions you may have.
