On the Razzle
“One false move and we could have a farce on our hands.”
The award-winning Weston High Theater Company opens its 2015-2016 with Tom Stoppard’s uproarious On the Razzle. When grocery clerk Weinberl and apprentice Christopher are suddenly promoted by their overbearing boss, they realize they have only one chance for adventure before they must face the gloom of adult responsibilities, and they head into Vienna for “a real razzle of a day.” Filled with mistaken identities, romantic entanglements and Stoppard’s unparalleled wordplay, On the Razzle is a sparkling and fast-paced romp based on the same Austrian play that also inspired the musical Hello, Dolly!
Performances are in the Weston High Auditorium on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 19, 20 and 21 at 7:30 pm.
