This is Pittsburgh Retro Gaming's second annual Arcade focused event but our first event hosted in cooperation with Victory Pointe located in Pittsburgh's South Side! This event will run from 11am to 10pm and will be jam packed with Games, Contests, Vendors, and Panels. A great value for only $15.00 ($1.86 processing fee)! Tickets can also be purchased at Participating Vendors for $15.00 with no additional charge For the price of admission you will get unlimited access to all of Victory Pointe's free to play machines along with a chance to partake in all the following!
There will be 3 game play contests run by the PRG and possibly more run by Victory Pointe they will be as follows
-Tetris Arcade High score competition
-Mario Kart Arcade tournament
-Smash Brothers Game Cube tournament
There will be two panels as shown on the flier above. 1 will be the folks who bring Replay FX Arcade convention to Pittsburgh. They will be talking about Arcade gaming what goes into the con and gaming in General
The 2nd panel will be two different local Indi game Developers who develop for very different generations of home consoles. They will be discussing what goes into video game development and how diverse the indi dev scene is across the generations of hard ware.
This is a smaller event than a full blown convention so Vendors will be less than a convention but we are fitting as many as we can into the space we have available. Some of the vendors at this time are Warp Zone, Game Vault, The folks from the Penn Hills Game Exchange along with the other independent game and art vendors.
If you do Cosplay there will also be a Cosplay contest held. All contests have prizes allocated for them and you can win prizes just for showing up. Today is the final day for the Retro Scribe game giveaway. Don't let that deter you though. We have even more general admission giveaways lined up for you!
