NYFS hosts filmmakers who want to show their work in a casual setting and obtain feedback in a Q&A session after the screening of their work. Films can be any length, genre, or experimental.
July 12th
Paul Golding went to film school with George Lucas and made several student films. We will be showing Emperor, one of their more famous pieces. Paul also worked with Haskell Wexler in 1969 in Medium Cool. This piece is about a TV reporter who finds himself in the middle of the 1968 Democratic Convention riots (great footage). The final piece Mini Specials was a series of pilots for a TV short series. You will be surprised when you see who appears in them. Q&A follows. This is a great night to learn about the early days of film making.
