Jack & Jill of America, Inc.: Off to the Races
The Oklahoma City Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is hosting its annual fundraising benefit at Remington Park on Sunday, October 16, 2011. In order to assist the Jack and Jill of America Foundation, Inc. in accomplishing its 2011 goals of initiating educational workshops, in conjunction with schools, community centers, and not-for-profit organizations to teach the fundamentals of financial literacy and healthy lifestyles with America’s children.
Jack and Jill of America Foundation, Inc. is the philanthropic arm of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Since its inception in 1968, the Foundation has distributed millions of dollars to communities all across America. In so doing, the Foundation is fulfilling its shared vision with Jack and Jill of America, Inc., to invest in the future of our children. The Foundation supports programs that not only create opportunities and challenges for children to learn and practice leadership skills, but also build leadership character in youth. The ultimate goal of every Foundation grant dollar is to empower young people to make the right life choices.
Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is a non-profit organization of mothers who nurture future leaders by strengthening children ages 2-19 through chapter programming, community service, legislative advocacy and philanthropic giving. We believe every child, with proper guidance and opportunity can be a leader.
In addition, the Oklahoma City Chapter of Jack and Jill of America is proudly fundraising for the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy (OICA), whose mission aligns closely to our own legislative goals, which is to “create awareness, take action and change policy on behalf of children and youth”. OICA raises awareness by sharing important data and research and by identifying the gaps in programs and systems that are designed to serve children and youth. OICA takes action by moving ideas, issues and initiatives forward in ways that mobilize people, promote effective solutions and achieve real results. When needed, OICA builds coalitions and changes policy to ensure that those changes, improvements and solutions benefit all children.
Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is committed to ensuring that all children have the same opportunities in life. We hope that this is a commitment that you and your organization share. It is because of this commitment that we are asking for your help in accomplishing these worthy goals by choosing to contribute to this benefit.
Thank you for your contribution and support.
