Bayou City Angler, Houston's only specialty fly fishing shop, is proud to host the premier of the new Confluence Film, "Providence", on Thursday October 27, 2016 at the River Oaks Theatre.

The proceeds from this premier will go to benefit two wonderful organizations: Reel Recovery and Candlelighters

Reel Recovery is a national non-profit organization that conducts free fly-fishing retreats for men living with all forms of cancer.  Learn more about Reel Recovery National here and the Texas Reel Recovery program here .

Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance provides emotional, educational and practical support to families of children with cancer.  Learn more about Candlelighters here.

In addition to proceeds from ticket sales, we will be hosting a multi-item raffle for some GRAND PRIZES the night of the premier to add to the donations.

About "Providence" -- In the fifth full-length fly fishing film from Confluence, Chris Patterson and Jim Klug, Yellow Dog Flyfishing’s Camille Egdorf, and South African guides Gerhard Laubscher and Tim Babich team up for an amazing journey and a return to the remote and uninhabited Seychelles atoll of Providence. This new film chronicles the first trip back to Providence Atoll since the waters were closed to all fishermen and boat access in 2010 due to the threats and activities of pirates operating out of Somalia. The team returned in October of 2015, spending three weeks exploring the atoll and fishing for multiple flats species including giant trevally, bluefin trevally, bumphead parrotfish, bonefish, Indo-Pacific permit, triggerfish, milkfish and more. An amazing story of adventure, piracy, challenging fish, the history of the area and untouched flats.

We look forward to seeing you at the premier!!
