Chloe Pourmorady and her ensemble of dynamic musicians create an atmosphere of eclectic folk music at the Skirball Cultural Center.
This program titled "Bipâyân: Endless," features Chloe's instrumental and vocal compositions, as well as arrangements of collected folk songs in Ladino, Greek, Hebrew, Farsi, and Turkish.
Joining Chloe will be the many talents of Daniel Raijman, Zack Lodmer, Cantor Liran Kohn, Alexander Meimand, Marcel Borbon, Jeffrey Steinberg, Jerry Summers, Ava Nahas, Jakob Berger, Pontea Banayan, and Brigitte Bogle.
*A portion of proceeds will be donated to CHAI LIFELINE, which offers a number of services for Jewish children with life-threatening illnesses.
Chloe Pourmorady is a Persian-American violinist, vocalist, and composer with a commitment to creating collaboration and cultural exchange through music. Chloe performs and writes music in a multitude of traditions and styles. She is most influenced by the rich musical language of her Persian and Sephardic roots, and by the spirit of the countries to which she's traveled. Chloe holds two Independent Music Awards for Best Eclectic Song, "Angels & Insects," and Best Eclectic EP.
*This program is in partnership with JIMENA (Jews Indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa) and the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles.
