3rd Annual Christmas Masquerade Ball
TIYLO is planning its 3rd annual Christmas Masquerade Ball for Friday, December 2, 2011, at the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton. The event is scheduled to begin at 8pm and will end at midnight. There will be catered hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and dancing all night to Fred & the Eds. A silent auction will help with Christmas shopping, but more importantly, a portion of the proceeds from the cost of admission and the silent auction will benefit the Clayton Christmas Fund and our local food pantries.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Clayton Christmas Fund, a project of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron #821 and the local Boyscout Troop #46 which provides baskets of food and non-perishable items and grocery store gift cards to local families that have been identified as being in need during the holiday season. Last year, the event raised $2,500 for this project. In addition, as a result of last year’s amazing attendance, we were able to contribute $500 to each of three local food pantries.
“The Masquerade part of the Ball is just for fun,” says Melissa Ringer-Hardy, Chairman of the event committee. With the purchase of a presale ticket, the first 100 people will be given a mask to decorate for the evening. If you bring your mask with you that night, your name will be entered to win a prize. Masks are also available at Amazing Occasions in Clayton and at Party Rentals in Watertown.
“Having the Ball is a reason to get all dressed up and enjoy a fun night out, at a beautiful venue, with food, friends and great music,” says Ringer-Hardy. The attire for the evening is dressy to formal~suit to tux. This is an opportunity for the ladies to pull out that dress that you have only worn once. We all have them; bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride dresses, prom dresses; or that one of a kind, super-fancy vintage dress. And for the gentlemen, it’s anywhere from a suit to a tux. Jackets are a must! This is your opportunity to have a fun, formal night out with friends and neighbors before the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season.
Everyone is welcome.
Presale tickets will be available beginning 0n November 3, 2011 at the local Chamber of Commerce and at Bella’s in Clayton. Or, just email us to make other arrangements. The cost is $20/person presale or $25/person at the door.
