Summertime Earth Ball

The Summertime Earth Ball promises to be an evening of great music, powerful art, amazing food, and intoxicating drink, to be held at Beatnik Studios in Sacramento on June 12, 2010, from 8PM to 2AM. 

On this enchanted evening, you can expect:

♦ Live music by local bands "The Resurrection Men" and "Robustitron"

♦ DJ Nuyo spinning the latest dance tracks♦ Photo booth by photograher Lindsay

♦ Art and photography displays from hot local and regional artists

♦ And, most importantly, a fully stocked OPEN bar! 

Yes, your drinks are on us the entire night! 

All proceeds will go to the Center for Rural Empowerment and the Environment (CREE), a Sacramento-based nonprofit that helps communities in developing nations pursue sustainable development projects, while simultaneously fostering environmental preservation.  They have initiated groundbreaking projects all over Africa, Asia, and Latin America, including Kenya, Tanzania, Cameroon, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, and Guyana.  You can research the incredible grassroots work they are doing at http://conservationforpeople.org  This group is almost entirely dependent on public and private donations to achieve their mission, and so every dollar they receive goes extremely far in furthering their efforts.
