Mendelssohn — Concerto in E minor for Violin and Orchestra, Betty Zhou, violin Schubert — Symphony No. 9 in C Majorl D. 944 "The Great"
Betty Zhou is the winner of numerous competitions, including the 2002 Philadelphia Orchestra Festival’s Concerto Competition, the 2003 Juilliard Pre-College Concerto Competition, and the 2006 New Jersey Symphony Orchestra's Young Artists Auditions, as well as a recipient of the New Horizons Fellowship at Aspen Music Festival. Hailing from Clifton, NJ, she performed as soloist with the Bloomfield Symphony Orchestra each of her High School years. Graduating from the Juilliard School this May, she will be continuing her studies at Yale University in the fall. We are thrilled and honored to have her back with us!
