WHY THE PRICE INCREASE? This year's Slinky 13 aka Slinky Family Gathering has a price increase from other years due to the fact we are renting out a large, never before used forest location to provide a more spacious and private gathering for everyone. These things cost money, and unfortunately we have to try to pay for them. We really took our time and tried very hard to find a price and location that would make you happy and maintain the same vibe as our locations in the past. Since we have no vending and allow everyone to bring drinks and food as they like, we can only recover our expenses on ticket prices. Slinky is still one of the most affordable weekend gatherings out there.

FRIDAY NIGHT JULY 27: We will be opening the doors to Slinky Family Gathering at 4pm this night for anyone that wants to come and camp overnight and be ready to go for Saturday's music lineup. We will not have music on Friday night. We will only be camping. NO ROGUE MUSIC systems will be allowed, no speakers powered by your car battery and no loud car stereos will be allowed. Friday is for camping and that is all. Use this time to setup your camp, meet other Slinky attendees and enjoy the natural surroundings. Next year we will most likely have a 2 night lineup.

SATURDAY JULY 28 - SUNDAY JULY 29th: We will start our music lineup at Noon on Saturday and run for 24 hours until Sunday at noon. You should plan to be exiting the property around 4pm on Sunday.

YOU MAY ARRIVE ANYTIME YOU LIKE: After 4pm on Friday July 27th, you can arrive anytime between then Sunday. (But there will only be one rate for the entire weekend, no one day passes)

ENVIRONMENT: Slinky is an outdoor camping gathering. There will be dirt, there may be bugs, there could even be rain or a cloud that we end up camping in. Who knows? Rain or shine, we are going and you should go to. Plan for cool nights and hot days. There will be lots of trees surrounding the main meadow, some you can camp beneath.

TENTS: Bring a tent. Bring an airbed. Bring a cot, bring your truck with a camper. (No RVs) Or bring nothing and meet a friend and use their tent! Tent camping will be allowed next to your vehicles if you prefer, or you can find an open space in the camping areas. No long hauling or shuttles. You may want to bring a canopy or Easy Up shade just in case you don't get a tree for shade.

THEME CAMPS: We would love for you to bring out something to decorate your camp and add to the experience of Slinky. The more interactive with other Slinky attendees the better. If you feel you are going to be doing something like this email us at jamonit@jamonitproductions.com and let us know so we can add you to the list of "featured camps." Bring out something creative and artistic to share!

FOOD/DRINK: Bring as much food, water, and other nourishment you would need to last the entire time at Slinky. If you are over 21, feel free to bring alcohol to enjoy with your camp and friends you meet that are also over 21 years of age.

NO FIRES: No rogue fire-pits or unofficial fires shall be started. If fire-pits are to be created it will only be allowed by the staff of Slinky. This is to avoid any fires that get out of hand and have potential to spread. Use your head and common sense.

TRASH: Over the years we’ve done a great job of cleaning up at the end of the night. It would be even better if throughout the night less trash was accumulated in corners and around tents. Do your part by picking it up if you see it. Don't let trash hit the ground. Take the extra step to get it in a bag or take it back to your camp. We will also provide you with trash bags should you need them. Everyone can do their part and take responsibility for their own waste.

SMOKING: No smoking will be allowed inside of the dance floor area. There will be signs reminding you of this. We will also have cigarette receptacles throughout the gathering for you in designated “Smoking areas” to place your butts. Respect the land and keep it clean so that we can continue to use it. Remember that cigarettes can start a fire.

VEHICLES: The roads leading to Slinky 13 are paved and then maintained gravel roads. There will be some grass driving as you find your parking place, but any regular clearance car should have no issues with this. It is never a good idea to bring a lowered vehicle to an outdoor camping gathering. It is always a good idea to plan ahead and bring a higher clearance car or truck just in case. We are not responsible for damage to your vehicle should you get stuck or drive over obstacles en route to our event.

KIDS AT SLINKY?: Yes, we are okay with you bringing your open minded kids along with you to enjoy the outdoors and amazing experiences that Slinky can provide the little ones in your life. We are all getting older and it's time we recognize that fact and begin to adjust. We don't want those of you with kids to feel excluded and not attend. If you would take your kids to Burning Man or Lightning in a Bottle, then you can take them to Slinky in our opinion. Make your own judgment call on that. With that in mind, Slinky attendees should act respectful and not be blatant in enjoying themselves at Slinky Family Gathering.

PARKING: Parking is free. As it should be. You will be able to park and camp near your vehicles. Upon arrival the greeter will direct you to our parking guides. Our Parking guides will show you where to park. Please drive slow and cautiously.

RESTROOMS: We will be providing portable toilets along with sinks/washing stations for your convenience.

VENDING: There will be no vending at Slinky. The property owner may have a limited amount of ice available on Saturday for sale, not sold by us.

DO NOT BRING:

  • Fireworks
  • Firearms of any kind
