2013 Competitive Elite Sports Literacy Classic
All-Star Literacy Classic
In January of each year, and at the conclusion of high school football season, we invite top junior and senior class high school football players from over 40 Bay Area and southern California schools to participate in our annual Literacy Classic All-Star Games.
This is an opportunity for athletes to play against other top-ranked players from their area, showcasing their talent and ability in front of college coaches these athletes may not have otherwise been able to reach.
If not for the Literacy Classic All-Star Games these athletes, while talented, may not have had an opportunity to play in front of college recruiters who may make their dream of playing football and receiving a college education come true.
In addition to excelling athletically, all players hoping to participate in either the northern California or southern California Literacy Classic All-Star Games must have a grade point average of 2.2 or higher, the same threshold required by Division 2 college football teams.
Participants are provided with a playing jersey and a commemorative t-shirt. DVDs of the game are made available to participants wishing to add it to their collection or mail to schools they hope to play for.
