My dear friends, Some of you I have known for 34 years and some of you I haven't had the pleasure of meeting and of course many of you fall in between but trust me you are ALL so dear to me. I could not have imagined how supportive and generous you would all be in my time of need and I do need all of you. A quick recap, I have been living in Phuket, Thailand raising my wonderful son for the last 7 plus years. This summer the adoption was finally completed and I was ready to bring Nekke home then just before Christmas to my dismay my application was denied!!! Insult to injury, I have only 45 days to appeal and the appeal process is not for mere mortals or even airline personnel. I am now forced to hire not one but two immigration attorneys, one in Thailand, one in the US. Asking for help is never easy but the desperation of my situation leaves me no choice so thank you all for your rapid response! Can you believe I have enough friends to actually organize our efforts? :) In an effort to move forward we are forming a committee to oversee all these phenomenal resources. Please send your ideas, comments and connections to the committee for guidance. With this clearing house I should be able to concentrate on my mission while the committee keeps us from duplicating efforts.
