This event is held to benefit the Friends of AIRLIFE Organization and takes place at The Hudson Gardens & Event Center in Littleton, Colorado (Dogs are not allowed in the park). The event honors all of our everyday EMS heroes and commemorates the AIRLIFE helicopter crash and related car accidents that occurred on December 14, 1997, in Littleton. The event begins with the release of white doves and the start of the 5K and 10K Run and 5K Walk through Hudson Gardens, along the South Platte River then on to the Mary Carter Greenway Trail and then completes again in Hudson Gardens. An awards ceremony will take place at 10:00am and medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall will be given to the top male and female participants in each event: 5K Walk, 5K Run, 10K Run. Additionally, a 1st place medal will be awarded to the top male and female participants in the EMS and Masters (40+) race categories, respectively.?
