The Chili Chowder Fest is an event that takes place the Saturday of Heritage Days. It is hosted by "The Park" and features a selection of the finest chilies and chowders made by establishments from all around the Midcoast Area. It is a "Sample 'Em All" event with public voting for Best Chili & Best Chowder with all the proceeds benefiting "The Park". Featuring door prizes & live local music, the Chili Chowder Fest also boasts the Inter-Safety Departmental Chili Cook Off where the representatives from local fire, police, and sheriff’s departments will again go head to head.
