SWAN STRONG

Swan Strong – Family Benefit Night is being held for Melissa and Rich Swan and their family on Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Knights ofColumbus in Salem.  The funds raised through this benefit will be used to assist the family during a time of need.

Melissa and Rich are both long time Salem Residents who have two beautiful daughters ages 14 and 8.  Having been together for the past 20 years they have deep roots in the community and share in the pride of being able to raise their children in the same community they grew up in. Melissa, diagnosed with Breast Cancer in December of 2012 was employed by the Salem Public School System until her treatments began.  Her husband, Rich a Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom currently serves as a National Guard Active Reservist, 1058th Transportation Company out of Hingham, Massachusetts and is employed by a local trucking firm.

Fighting the battle together - Melissa has undergone a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and will require three additional surgeries in the near future.  This will be a long recovery for their entire family and we could use your assistance in helping us help them.
