History of ArbellaThe “Arbella” takes its name from one of the ships that brought the first settlers to Salem, Massachusetts back in the 1600s. Based in Salem, the Arbella Drum & Bugle Corps was the combination of two all-girls drum and bugle corps back in the mid 1970s. Arbella went co-ed for the 1982 and 1983 seasons, but folded in 1983. After 30 years in “drydock” Arbella is relaunched, bringing the sites and sounds of drum and bugle back to Boston’s North Shore, and looking forward to delighting our community!
