Halloween at The Bug: The Infestation
Summer 1963. The destination for fun is Kamp Killalottakiddes in beautiful Midpines, California where the campers' days are filled with games, crafts, hiking, and swimming at the nearby Hornet's Nest hole. But this would be the last year the popular camp would welcome youngsters from all over the state. In 1963, local authorities shut down Kamp Killalottakiddes after five young campers and one mysterious entomologist never returned from a hike in the woods. This fall, graduate students from the University of California are scouring the forest for an unidentified insect after locals discovered squirrels, birds, and a coyote wrapped in a sticky web-like substance. Their bodies were pristinely preserved because their carcasses had been sucked dry. Something wicked was at work 50 years ago and on October 26th you can join a small group of scientists, conspiracy theorists, and cold case workers on a journey into the woods in search of any signs of those missing children. Bring your bug spray. Don't get bit! And buy your tickets for Halloween at The Bug: The Infestation before they sell out.
All shows start promptly on the 1/2 hour at The Bodie Room just above The Cafe at The Bug Hostel in Midpines, CA.
