Sun, November 24, 7pm @ Jericho Jewish Center
Join us for an exciting evening of Israeli Music starring international singer, songwriter, and guitarist David Broza with a special performance of Israeli songs sung by Jericho Jewish Center’s own Cantor Barry Black.
David Broza returns to Long Island. Critics have called David Broza the “Israeli Bruce Springsteen” and “a post-modern Leonard Cohen.” His multi-cultural, flamenco-tinged folk-rock is written and sung in Hebrew, Spanish and English.
Israeli superstar David Broza has been considered one of the most dynamic and vibrant performers in the world. His charismatic and energetic performances bring a fusion of the three different countries in which he was raised: Israel, Spain, and England. He has filled concert halls with his famous guitar playing that ranges from flamenco flavored rhythmic and percussion techniques to whirlwind finger picking to a signature rock and roll sound.
More than a singer/songwriter, Broza is also well known for his commitment and dedication to several humanitarian causes, predominantly the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Since 1977, he has worked to bring the message of peace to the masses by joining peace movements and singing what has become the anthem of the peace process, his hit song "Yihye Tov."
