ADOPTION EDUCATION for MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
Karl Stenske M.A., Post-Adoption Specialist, is conducting an intensive adoption certification program that will change how you do therapy.
This course will identify societal perceptions of adoption, including infant awareness, adoptee impact and influence on family dynamics. The curriculum focuses on adoption history andgeo-political response. Laws, adoptee, birth and adoptive family rights will be studied in relation to societal pressures leading to shame, guilt, secrets and regret. The psychological impact of societal, government influence and medical practices will be discussed.
