The Setting
The historic Palm Springs Tennis Club Resort was the elegant vision of “Auntie Pearl” McCallum McNamus. After a round-the-world trip during the 1930’s, “La Grande Dame” of Palm Springs, was intent on creating “the most beautiful club in the world” and the most photographed pool in America in her hometown. Along with attracting tennis greats, The Palm Springs Tennis Club beguiled the glamorous Hollywood set, including Sinatra, who was a member. In 1951, it hosted an addition to the Golden Globes, the ”Henrietta Awards,” naming Jane Wyman and Gregory Peck “Film Favorite of the World.” Through the decades, this precious property has only been improved upon by famous architects and impassioned owners. The charm of the original Tennis Club like fine wine, only improves with time.
Step back into the era of cool and spend the night living the good life. Come join us on this special night to keep the Rat Pack party going, and to commemorate our timeless favorite, forever “The Chairman of the Board.”
