Darryl Walker has been blessed with incredible talents. That he can share them with us all is truly a gift. Since early childhood, when he could belt out “Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay” with the passion of Otis Redding, Darryl has entertained and enthralled with his amazing voice. Add to that his ability to blend sensuality and power through his saxophone, and it’s easy to see what has made this sensational artist the performer of choice for so many across the nation, and around the world.
His awe inspiring, natural talent, dedication to his craft, personal warmth, and a sincerity seldom matched, converge with each vocal and every instrumental solo. His performances easily command devotion as much as they bring sheer joy to his audiences.
Specializing in R&B, pop, blues, and jazz, Darryl has lit up live shows and recording sessions in lead and supporting roles for a bevy of labels; Tabu, A&M, Motown, Mesa Blue Moon Records, and Northern Blues. So universal is his appeal, Darryl’s been the vocalist of choice for the pre-production team of world-renowned Latin artist Luis Miguel. Two of those tracks, Misterios del Amor, and Vuelve, are part of the albums, Luis Miguel’s Greatest Hits, and Thirty Three.
His tour de force bilingual efforts, merely skim the surface. Darryl’s an active, voting member of the Recording Academy’s Los Angeles Chapter. As a member of AFTRA, he’s backed guest stars on The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and sang jingle demos for Dole, Pringles, Toyota, and Honey Nut Cheerios.
