Parallel World

In the world of climbing, pushing limits is part of the game. But every so often, an athlete comes along who redefines what’s possible. On March 18th, 2025, Katie made history, becoming the first woman to ever climb the route Parallel World and the first woman to conquer the grade of D15+/D16. It was a triumph over physical and mental endurance—30 sessions on the route, two overseas trips, and over a year of unwavering dedication. Come see the whole story at our first evening film at the Emerson!

Bridgers

Two Bozeman-based ski patrollers reflect on the rapid changes facing their home and the sport they love. With 50 seasons under his belt, Dene Brandt regards the future with an optimism that infects his younger co-worker.

The Marks We Leave

The Marks We Leave is a short six-minute documentary that follows Bozeman-based artist Hailey Hosken as she creates a painting inspired by her experience climbing in the Gallatin Canyon; specifically the most prominent feature, Spare Rib. The film explores the deep connection between Hailey’s art and the landscape around her, showing how her time outdoors shapes the way she approaches her paintings.

El Chaltén Season Wrap-Up with Tyler Karow

A reflection on a short but memorable 2024/25 Patagonia season — including an ascent of Cerro Torre via the Southeast Ridge, a couple other hard-earned summits, and a few more failed attempts along the way.
