Join your Daytona Waverunners Women's Tackle Football Team for Home Opener on Saturday May 13th, 2023. Your Daytona Waverunners will bring our high powered offense and "Purple Reign" defense to Historical Jerry S. Johnson Memorial Stadium on the campus of Warner Christian Academy on Saturday May 13th as we host the Orlando Anarchy at 6:30 p.m.
The Waverunners are part of the Women's Football Alliance (WFA), which began play in 2009. The WFA is full-contact, 11-on-11 football, with 70 teams worldwide.
“Waverunners are prevalent here in Daytona, and we have a lot of players on our team that like to run,” Williams said. “So we came up with the Waverunner offense. We have a team that doesn't give up and sets the cutting edge. We have a bunch of leaders.”
“We have a multitude of backgrounds, from former military and a current Daytona Beach police officer to a couple of nurses and an accountant,” Williams said.
Your Daytona Waverunners practice at Strickland Park on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evening and get a great gym workout and study film at Gold's Gym Daytona on Mondays.

Your Daytona Waverunners are LOOKING for players who want to prepare for the 2024 football season by joining our 2023 practice squad. Experience is not required and we are seeking all positions (QB, RB, WR, OL, DL, LB's, DB's).
You must be 17 or older. The practice squad is a great opportunity to get a head start on next season, by practicing with our 2022 team.
