This unique work will be presented by Fresno Master Chorale, chamber ensemble Coro Piccolo, soloists Lim Forgey and Holly Jamison along with full orchestra.
Composer Henry Mollicone shares: The idea for composing Beatitude Mass evolved from a discussion with a friend, Fr. John Pedigo. This piece incorporates words from the Latin Mass Ordinary juxtaposed with English words by William Luce. The new texts are drawn from interviews that he and I conducted with people living in homeless shelters.
Coro Piccolo will be featured during the first half of the concert when they perform two pieces by Ola Gjeilo: Dark Night of the Soul and Luminous Night of the Soul.
