ABOUT THIS CONCERT:
The Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, led by Artistic Director Phil Nuzzo, takes a leap across the pond at their concert Sat., March 4 with the first half of the program featuring music from Great Britain. William Boyce, the great early British composer, is featured with his seldom performed Fifth Symphony. The BCO will then take you on a celestial journey with selections from Gustav Holst's The Planets, presented in a re-orchestration by the British composer George Morton. Finally, the much-heralded Russian pianist Vyacheslav Gryaznov and trumpet, Jesdelson Vasquez, join us to perform their heart-stopping reading of the great Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 1.
Children under 8 are not permitted. Children 8-12 are free with purchase of adult ticket.
