HOOKS FOR HEROES CT – 15th Annual Fundraiser and Buffet, Saturday, June 20, 2026

Now in our 15th year, Hooks For Heroes CT (Federal Tax-Exempt ID: 86-2355665) continues its mission to support the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country, a mission made even more urgent as our nation is once again at war, with 14 service members lost and over 440 wounded to date—many of the most critically injured receiving advanced treatment at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for traumatic brain injuries, amputations, and complex rehabilitation.

 

On June 20, 2026, Halloween Yacht Club will sponsor and host our 15th Annual Hooks For Heroes CT fishing competition, bringing together local Connecticut veterans alongside seriously wounded service members from Walter Reed and Fort Belvoir, with ceremonies honoring veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, as well as our local first responders, followed by a large buffet, cookout, and community activities. 

 

Donations from this event will directly support local veterans and Operation Gift Cards, a program created in partnership with the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 13 Stamford and the Military Order of the Purple Heart Derby Shelton Chapter 1.
