National Nonprofit Day
National
Nonprofit Day, recognized in America on August 17, raises awareness of
charitable contributions from nonprofit groups across the world.
The
awareness day followed the 1894 Tariff Act that introduced the first federal
tax exemptions for nonprofit organizations. Since its inception, National
Nonprofit Day has continued to be a day to recognize and celebrate nonprofit
volunteers, employees, and philanthropists in any form.
Heart2Heart Outreach has been mobilizing
volunteers in South Florida to C.A.R.E. for the elderly since 2010, by
partnering with local churches, foundations, businesses, people and care
facilities, alike. C.A.R.E. is a spiritual, social, and emotional model of
care, and it is intended to: provide hope, share love and restore purpose to
the aging population.
C.A.R.E. is an acronym for: Connect, Advocate, Respond
and Engage.

§ Advocate -
