Join ACBS Education Director for a fun, all levels painting class! During the 2.5 hour class you will learn basic techniques to paint the iconic Lone Peak in all her winter glory and create your own unique painting from start to finish. Students will provide their own basic materials, listed below.
Materials:
Required materials you will need to do this project
Canvas, any size or shape will do. Can be a stretched canvas, panel, wood, or canvas paper. Please be sure that whatever you use is appropriate for acrylic paint. You can even recycle a canvas, just paint it all white before the class begins.
Acrylic Paint - For a winter themed Lone Peak, please have white, blue (a few shades are great) black, and green. If you have additional paints you can use those colors as well, but the above are the minimum required colors for this painting.
Paint brushes. Nothing fancy, a few brushes will do the trick.
Paper plate or palette
Water cup
Paper Towels
Palette knife or something to mix paint with - This is optional, a paint brush will work fine.
Easel or something to prop your painting up against. This is optional, some people prefer to paint with the canvas flat on a surface.
Any additional acrylic painting materials can be used!
If you prefer to work in watercolors or oils, go for it but please note that the instructions for this class will be specific to acrylic paints only.
You will receive the zoom link and more information after completing your registration. If you have any questions please email megan@bigskyarts.org
