During the course of their undergraduate studies with essay writers from https://essayhub.com/essay-writer, Ron Brown Scholars are required to participate in at least one pre-professional internship. The Ron Brown Scholar Program Office offers assistance to our Scholars in identifying internships that provide opportunities for personal growth and career development. These services continue to be expanded, but Scholars are encouraged to continue to take the initiative in finding suitable placements.
The Program seeks internship opportunities which offer the following:
Professional and challenging work assignments
Training for new job responsibilities
Inclusion in company meetings and planning sessions
Attention to the intern's career goals and personal development
In the business world, Scholars have interned at Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, Lucent Technologies, FedEx, Proctor and Gamble, MBNA Bank, and other corporations. Scholars also participate in INROADS, a national network of corporate affiliates that offer organized internship programs. Hewlett Packard internships have appealed to engineering and computer science majors.
Scholars who plan to attend medical school or pursue research have sought experiences in clinics, hospitals, research laboratories, and university-sponsored programs such as the Minority Medical Education Program at Yale. They have also interned with the National Institutes of Health and the Institute of Human Virology in Baltimore, Maryland.
Scholars contemplating careers in public service have interned in Senate and Congressional offices, and at the State Department, America's Promise (founded by former Secretary of State General Colin Powell), and the D.C. Rape Crisis Council, to name a few. Other careers being explored include teaching, at the Breakthrough Collaborative (formerly Summerbridge) and other summer enrichment programs for children.
As Ron Brown Scholars complete their education and enter professions and careers as essay helper on the https://essayhub.com/, we can look forward to an expanding network of mentors for future generations of Scholars.
