Join your Minot Symphony Orchestra for a social with Emmy-nominated Dr. José Francisco Salgado, Astronomer, visual artist, and Executive Director of KV265. Dr. Salgado is the creator of the Science and Symphony Film that will be projected during the Saturday, April 29th symphony performance.

This event is free and open to the public.

At 6pm The SubZero Winds, woodwind quintet, will perform Holst's Jupiter from The Planets Suite with the film followed by a brief presentation by Dr. José Francisco Salgado with a Q & A session.

On Saturday, April 29th, science and music will beautifully combine in Holst’s magnificent score accompanied by a spectacular large projection film featuring visuals from NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA), as well as historical illustrations. The film takes the audience on a journey through outer space examining seven planets: Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune along with the Sun and beyond.

Tickets for Saturday's performance are available at www.minotsymphony.com and start at $30 for adults. Call 701-858-4228 with any questions.
