Dear Lion King Jr. Ticket Holders,
You are receiving this email message because you kept the faith with us through our journey and continued to support our work with FUSE Theatre of Connecticut / Handful Productions’ cast of ‘The Lion King Jr.’
***HUGE ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR YOU!!!**
We are grateful for you and very excited to tell you that we still have a show for you to see, and we think you are going to love it. We have worked tirelessly for months to create a “family video” as per our licensing agreement, and we think of YOU as family. That means you get to see it! #finishingwhatwestarted
We know you have questions, and we will try to answer them clearly and succinctly below:
WHEN IS THE SHOW HAPPENING?
Saturday, August 15th, 2020 at 7:30 p.m., streamed via Vimeo (link and password).
DETAILS OF THE STREAMING
The “doors” will open at 7:00 p.m. and you will enjoy a pre-show presentation of our beautiful Playbill and some other fun surprises. At 7:30, the “curtain” will rise and you will be able to watch the show at the same time as our cast and crew. This link will be disabled at midnight, so be sure to make those dinner reservations early and get to the “theater” on time!
You will need to press "Play" in order to start the video, and you can "Pause" at any time if you need a snack or bathroom break. We recommend that you finish before 9:00 p.m. so you can join us for our LIVE TALKBACK on Zoom (the invite will be emailed to you along with your show link).
HOW LONG IS THE SHOW?
It's approximately 85 minutes in length. That gives you about 15 minutes of a cushion for pausing before the talkback starts.
WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE TICKETS WE ALREADY BOUGHT?
Your ticket to this show will unlock a link to view the production on August 15th, 2020. It DOES NOT MATTER which date/performance you bought tickets for. You will receive an email with the link at 6:45 p.m. If you do not get it by 7:00 p.m., please check your spam/junk folder, as it will be a B.C.C. like this one. If this one went to your spam/junk folder, that one will probably follow suit.
MY AUNT ELEANOR FROM WYOMING DOESN’T HAVE A TICKET. CAN SHE STILL SEE THE SHOW?
If someone you know does NOT yet have a ticket, they may make a suggested per-household donation of $20.00 on our website, fusetheatrect.org, by 8/14/20, and that will secure their access to the streaming event. They can also donate more if they wish— all donations are fully tax deductible, as FUSE is now officially a 501(c)3 non-profit organization! We plan on bringing you much more incredible arts programming in the future, and with your help, we can get right on it as soon as this project is completed. Find the link to “DONATION” on the front page of our site. We know it wasn't working before today-- we fixed it and all should be good now.
I HEARD THERE WAS GOING TO BE A TALK BACK WITH CAST AND CREATIVES AFTER THE AIRING. IS THIS TRUE?
Yes it is! Your email will include a Zoom link invitation to the talkback. You can give your feedback and ask questions of the cast in the chat feature, and we will respond to the best of our ability! It will mean a great deal to our cast to hear your thoughts on their performances. The talkback will begin at approximately 8:50 p.m. and last for about 45 minutes.
WILL THERE BE A DVD?
YES! Our licensing agreement allows us to produce a DVD “at cost” for cast and crew and their family members. There will soon be a form to fill out to order a DVD copy of our show for you and your family on our website, www.fusetheatre.org. The DVDs are $25.00, including sales tax. We will work on having them burned and readied for you by the end of September. We’ll arrange a pickup date at a central location.
We hope your questions have been answered and you are excited to see our awesome show! You will find a preview available on our website, fusetheatrect.org. If you require more information, please email us at fusetheatrect@gmail.com!
Hakuna Matata! Stay healthy and safe. We look forward to “seeing” you at the show!
