"Ye wander gladly in light, through goodly mansions, dwellers in Spiritland" . . . These are the opening words to The Song of Destiny by Johannes Brahms. The WSSO joins forces with the Harrisburg Choral Society (Jason Vodicka, director) to examine the notion of wandering: composers and performers who travel, the struggle of the mind and spirit, space exploration, and an homage to Romani people. Violist and Carlisle native Ofir Tomer will perform Suite Hebraic by Ernest Bloch. Works by George Frederich Handel, Ernest Bloch, George Enescu, Johannes Brahms, and movements from the beloved Planets Suite by Gustav Holst.
